Optics
In terms of optics, Newton
investigated the reflection of light by a glass prism and concluded that white
light was a mixture of infinitely coloured rays. He theorised that white light is made up of many different colours with different wavelengths. His experiments were very
accurate and precise and is considered to be one of the greatest scientific discoveries of all time.
