A Quick Biography
Isaac Newton was born on 25th
December 1642 at Woolsthorpe Manor in Woolsthorpe-by-Colsterworthe, a hamlet in
the country of Lincolnshire.
Isaac Newton studied in Free Grammar
School in Grantham, Trinity College and Cambridge University.
Isaac Newton held a few distinguished
positions in life, described as a ‘natural philosopher’ during his time. Some
of the positions he held include being Lucasian Professor of Mathematics and
President of the Royal Society.
Isaac Newton was knighted in 1705 by
Queen Anne becoming Sir Isaac Newton, he was elected as president of the Royal
Society, was an associate of the French Academy of Science and a warden of the
Royal Mint.
Isaac Newton was an intellectual with great insight on religion as he wrote far more words on religion
than science. He, however did not believe in the Holy Trinity and was a firm
believer in the end of the world. He had also done extensive research on
Christianity.
Isaac Newton had a lot of allegations
running against him and was seen as a religious crack pot, however he was known
as a genius by most people. Isaac Newton died in London on 20th March 1727, in his sleep and was buried in Westminster Abbey.
